Joseph & Morgan

Although we are absolutely in love with Tennessee, when we travel back to NY for weddings I truly hope to have the opportunity to shoot at The Sinclair in Skaneateles again. We’ve been here twice and I don’t believe it could ever get old! The ceremony area is well lit by large windows allowing for the gorgeous natural light to flood most of it. There is a small stream that flows behind the property and the bridal suite is one of the most picturesque I’ve ever seen. Joseph and Morgan were absolutely mesmerized by each other and it shows!

Kingsport has been treating us well with plenty of wide-open space for our dogs and “mini farm” we’ve started. Yes, mini farm. Complete with as many eggs and as much goats milk as we could possibly use, the time Heather and I aren’t shooting or editing is often spent tending the garden or caring for our now quite vast array of animals. The Tennessee weather has us swooning! Although we miss the snow occasionally, I don’t miss moving it! Hopeful for a couple winter weddings to bring us back to snow country!

The Move To Tennessee

WE MADE IT! After months of living in a “tiny home” rental to prepare, as of November 2021 we are comfortably situated in Kingsport, Tennessee. Offices fully functional, gear ready for travel again, and even have the “homestead” growing with goats, chickens, and even a couple barn cats. Don’t get me wrong, there were SO many things we loved about NY. However, I will also say that the move was most certainly a good choice. The weather is incredible, wedding season is basically year-round, and the growing season for our garden is significantly extended. Things down here just seem slowed down. People seem generally more kind, less “busy,” and less rushed. Peaceful.

We are extremely excited to see what new relationships we will find and to start working alongside other vendors in this area. Of course, we are also VERY excited to meet all the new couples, families, and friends we will get to help by documenting their special days. Not to worry to all of our NY friends and colleagues, we have been hired to fly back to NY several times this year! So very excited to see everyone we possibly can (while not filming of course)!

That being said, before leaving NY, I was able to be a part of Stephen & Elizabeth’s BEAUTIFUL wedding day. Here’s a little peek:

Jerald & Marina

This day was extremely emotional for me. When Jerald read his card from Marina even I had tears in my eyes. Every wedding involves family. This day, however, not only involved family. It was all about their family. I even felt like part of the family! Growing up in a pretty-dang-close-knit home, this wedding was really special for me. There were some tears for those that couldn’t physically be there for the day but everyone knew they were still there. There was so much love shared not only between Jerald, Marina, and there soon-to-be child but between Every. Single. Person that was there. What an amazing day!

Scott & Briana

Okay, I love first looks (be it with the parents or the couple). I love it when the couple exchanges gifts, notes, cards, etc. It’s a moment that makes you realize just how much you’ve been through and how much you’re looking forward to the next chapter of your lives. It’s a window into the thoughts and feelings that surround you leading up to the actual moment of marriage. These two combined them both. Back-to-back they read notes from one another then were able to turn around and see each other face-to-face. It was absolutely beautiful. They were beautiful. This wedding was just.. beautiful!

Matt & Shelby

Ok, you might not have in your mind that winter would be the best time to have a wedding. You might imagine nice greenery, a beach, or even falling leaves in October. You’re not wrong, all of those things can be absolutely beautiful. BUT, this. Wedding. Was. Incredible. It completely reverses any thought that winter isn’t the time to have a wedding. At least in my mind. Matt and Shelby both looked stunning, the white background and lightly falling snow just added to it.. Heading inside for warming cocktails and a great time with a great wedding party was the “icing on the cake.” Besides, it’s New York. Snow is a big part of our lives weather you like it or not - so I would challenge any couple to embrace it the way Shelby and Matt did because it turned out absolutely PERFECT!

Sara & Brian

Sara & Brian were one of the most lovely couples to just.. watch. They were inspirational in their obvious and devout love for each other. Being a wedding videographer, you see that most everyone has some wedding “jitters” on the big day. These two were just so happy to be making it official that the happiness completely overwhelmed any nervousness. To add, Central New York brought us some sun!
